Availability of Books

(The following information is for those outside India, esp. in the U.S.)

The time tested method is to buy Kannada books during your trips to India. Or pain your friends into buying some for you when they go to India. An extract from Kulki's Sahitya pages gives you a small list of bookstores in Karnataka.
Following are a handfull of places where you can buy the kannaDa books (there are a lot more....)
Some publishers whome you can contact to get the books directly.....

The Northern California Kannada Koota has an excellent library of it's own. Encourage your local Kannada organization to set up a library and get loads of Bendre's works!

Surprisingly, some public and university libraries in the U.S. with a large Asia collection also have some of Bendre's works. Information on how to find South Asia books is available among the SASIALIT pages maintained by Prentiss Riddle. It also gives information on how to search several online catalogs.
